Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour 2008, Little Rock Arkansas to Madison Wisconsin, June 6-14, 2008. Fellow car club member and long-time friend Jeff P flew from CT and met me in WI for the drive down to AR and back. We drove a total of 2396 miles in 8 days.

Duffel bags under passenger's legs, folding chairs on top. Jeff later found another Tour participant to haul the chairs for us, but we never saw them again. - rain starting

Stopped under an underpass to wait for the heavy rain to pass. It didn't. - Jeff soaked

After driving all night, stopped to dry out a bit at sunrise in Southern IL. - nicer weather

We were getting close and looking forward to arriving. By this time, we'd been on the road for 17+ hours straight without a break. - registration
We finalized our registration when we arrived at the AR State Fair Complex in Little Rock near the end of day 1. - check in
There were a lot of people checking in, and we watched the steady stream of beautiful cars. - long haul designation
We were doing the 'Long Haul'. This designation was reserved for those driving the entire length of the Power Tour. - credentials

Tonight's hotel was the Comfort Inn in Little Rock, AR. - hotel parking
The hotel had a parking ramp that continued underground and security guards on duty with a close eye on all of the cars. - hotel lobby 1
