Improvements to reduce supercharger outlet air temps. The supercharger outlet air temp was running too hot during track events. Air intake/laminova end plate was upgraded, coolant pump was swapped to a model from a Mustang Cobra, and a larger aftercooler & fan were installed.

with intake manifold removed - supercharger - top

- manifold endplate
stock endplate on intake manifold - manifold laminova tubes
laminova (heat exchanger) tubes in intake manifold - endplates
cooling endplates - 2-pass on left, stock on right - 2-pass endplate installed
- revised coolant routing
new coolant routing for 2-pass endplate - hose routing
cooling lines rerouted after installation of 2-pass endplate - stock coolant pump
- coolant pumps
stock pump on left, Bosch pump on right (from a Mustang Cobra) - pump bracket fabrication
new pump bracket tacked together - pump bracket powdercoated
- pump harness extension
made this to connect stock harness to new Bosch pump - uses Metri-Pack and Bosch connectors - new coolant pump installed
- stock aftercooler
stock aftercooler in nose of car is small and looks a lot like a trans cooler - stock aftercooler removed
the stock aftercooler and fan were removed from the car - the space I have to work with
looks like a decent amount of space, but looks can be deceiving - cardboard mockup
to judge sizing on a new aftercooler, the largest size that I could maneuver into the opening was made from cardboard - new aftercooler and larger fan
a new aftercooler was custom fabricated by Ellis Racing and a 11-inch fan will be used with it - new and old aftercooler
the new aftercooler is a 2-row model that's 3 inches deep, with a 2-pass design - start of fiberglass fan shroud fabrication
pieces of wood were used as temporary spacers between the fan and finned area
