2009 Power Tour

Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour 2009, Madison Wisconsin to Bristol Tennessee, June 6-14, 2009. Fellow car club member and long-time friend Jeff P flew from CT and met me in WI for the drive down to TN and back. We drove a total of 2327 miles in 8 days.

Initially I had thought that the pace car would likely keep speeds low - around 20 to 30 mph for parade laps and a lot of waving and pictures.

The banking and closeness of the concrete wall when taking the corner high made me quite cautious, but I was still able to get the speed up to between 80 and 90 mph. Cool.
